Introduction to customizing your weblog

If you know a little about HTML and CSS, then you'll find that it's easy to customize the appearance, layout and content of your pixyBlog website. You can change the appearance of any of your websites pages and add as many new pages as you want. Any pixyBlog user can do it through the web-based interface and it's all done with a simple and easy-to-use template language.

To start with you should read our overview of page templates, which will give you an insight into how template system works. Once you have grasped the basic then you can go about editing and creating page templates.

NOTE: If you have only AUTHOR or LIMITED permissions within a website then you won't have access to the Preferences->Theme or Preferences->Templates pages and you won't be able to change or customize your theme. You need to have ADMIN permission within a website to be able to do the things described in this guide.
